Despite the rich mineral resources of Nigeria and a position as the giant of Africa yet the country can not be able to provide its citizens with stable electricity for domestic and business use. The government has so far tried to their own best but has not being able to get a positive result, the government has claimed to have invested much in the power industry for many decades now, but the issue in the power sector especially as it got to do with power generation and distribution has yielded no positive result.
This tragic situation has affected the country's development and if nothing is done about it by the government including private investors, the country will further lose its dignity and regard, just as the economy will be directly and indirectly affected.
Government should as a matter of urgent give a special attention to the power sector, not only in the area of power generation and distribution but in repairing the sector's damaged facilities to enhance quality service delivery in order to improve the social well being of the entire masses.
